Our teams mission is to engage and reconnect Adams Elementary School students from K-4th grade with the natural world through interactive environmental education that fosters a sense of stewardship for the local environment. This year we developed a fourth grade curriculum and implemented kinder through third grade materials from previous years' teams. We created both in-class and field trip agendas for each season of the school year, enabling the students to perceive the local landscape and how it alters over time. Each school year has a central focus on a different ecosystem, enabling students to learn about multiple environmental concepts and apply knowledge they learn in the classroom to participate in hands-on restoration activities.
